This Role will be a Tuesday-Saturday Shift.
The Impact you will have in this role
The Development family is responsible for creating, designing, deploying, and supporting applications, programs, and software solutions. May include research, new development, prototyping, modification, reuse, re-engineering, maintenance, or any other activities related to software products used internally or externally on product platforms supported by the firm. The software development process requires in-depth subject matter expertise in existing and emerging development methodologies, tools, and programming languages. Software Developers work closely with business partners and / or external clients in defining requirements and implementing solutions. The Application Support Engineering role specializes in maintaining and providing technical support for all applications that are beyond the development stage and are running in the daily operations of the firm. Works closely with development teams, infrastructure partners, and internal / external clients to escalate and resolve technical support incidents.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
6. Analysis of Applications Systems in order to prevent incidents from reoccurring
7. Expand knowledge base of operating procedures/runbooks for supported applications
8. Collaborate within the team to resolve application alerts and escalate as needed
9. Gather requested documentation in support of ongoing audits requests
10. Execute assigned steps of the Disaster Recovery scripts during planned and unplanned outages, collecting BCM evidence as needed
11. Ensure automation produces expected results within stated threshholds
12. Monitor Dashboard to provide better visibility into potential issues and future outages
13. Analyze proposed application design and provide feedback on potential gaps to business requirements
14. Execute renewals/service account password changes as scheduled, resolve production defects and handlle minor enhancements as needed
15. Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately
16. Understanding of different technologies and applications Database – Oracle, MS SQL, DB2, Snowflake Middleware technologies – WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, Java, JRE Knowledge in the following: MQ, CA View (Autosys), Service Now, Jira, Splunk, Graphana, Dynatrace, OCP, IIB Cloud Computing – AWS, CloudWatch, Cloud Formation, Azure, Google Cloud Programming and scripting – ability to establish automation, write scripts (Perl, Python, Chef, Puppet,linux,windows) or implement system solutions
17. General knowledge of industry principles and new technologies like cloud computing, virtualization, etc.
Qualifications:
18. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
