1. 2. About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Architect with strong design, technical and communication skills to take a lead role on a major water infrastructure scheme. This is a high-profile, multidisciplinary project currently progressing through RIBA Stages 2–3 toward a Development Consent Order (DCO) submission.
You’ll work closely with other senior architects, internal design teams, and external consultants across landscape and engineering. You’ll play a central role in coordinating design development, leading stakeholder engagement, managing internal resource, and ensuring technical and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead the architectural design process across early project stages (RIBA 2–3)
* Manage internal design teams and act as point of contact for external consultants
* Develop presentation material for stakeholder engagement and public consultation
* Oversee coordination of multidisciplinary input for DCO submission
* Monitor project progress, resource, time, and cost performance
* Ensure high standards of design quality and technical delivery
* Contribute to broader practice knowledge and professional development
About You
Essential:
* Part III qualified with ideally 10+ years’ experience
* Strong interest in infrastructure, placemaking, and complex urban sites
* Demonstrable design ability with clear, high-quality presentation skills
* Experience managing project teams and coordinating with external consultants
* Understanding of design standards and technical compliance
* Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills
* Proficiency in 2D MicroStation, Microsoft Office, and Adobe (or Affinity) Suites
* UK work eligibility
Desirable:
* Proficiency in 3D AECOSIM
* Experience working on strategic-scale infrastructure or public realm projects
* Comfortable navigating public sector processes and multidisciplinary input
* Self-motivated and able to lead with initiative
