Audit Assistant Manager

Our client, a respected and growing accountancy practice, is seeking an Audit Assistant Manager to join their Wisbech office.

The Role
As Audit Assistant Manager, you will take responsibility for leading audits and supporting a varied portfolio of clients across multiple sectors. You will work closely with managers and partners while supervising junior team members and ensuring the delivery of high-quality service.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading audits from planning through to completion, ensuring compliance with auditing standards.
* Reviewing audit files and statutory accounts under UK GAAP.
* Managing client relationships, acting as a key point of contact during assignments.
* Supervising, mentoring, and reviewing the work of junior audit staff.
* Supporting managers and partners with ad hoc advisory projects.
* Identifying opportunities to add value for clients and improve processes.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will have:
* ACA/ACCA qualification (or be nearing completion) with strong audit experience.
* A background in practice, with proven experience leading audits.
* Solid technical knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards.
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A proactive and team-oriented approach, with the ambition to progress further.
