What's the role about?

New Business Development Lead

Full time, Permanent

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 + Up to 36% Performance Bonus + Car Allowance

Location: Winnersh RG41 (Hybrid) with UK National Remit

Are you a commercially-driven, results-focused individual ready to shape the future of a leading Field Marketing agency?

At Powerforce we specialize in helping FMCG brands and major retailers connect with shoppers and drive measurable sales uplift. As we embark on a significant journey of transformation and expansion, we’re seeking a Growth Lead (New Business Development) to own and accelerate our organic growth strategy.

Reporting directly to the Managing Director and sitting on the Customer Leadership Team, you will be the driving force behind new client acquisition, converting strategic opportunities into long-term partnerships.

Key Responsibilities: From Strategy to Pitch Win:

This senior, high-impact role requires an end-to-end focus on building the new business pipeline and winning mandates. You will:

1. Lead Strategic Pitches & Proposals: Own the end-to-end bid management process for complex RFIs and RFPs whilst developing creative, data-led, and commercially robust solutions.

2. Craft Compelling Narratives: Create high-quality sales enablement materials, case studies, and presentations that clearly articulate Powerforce's value proposition.

3. Pipeline Generation & Nurture: Plan and execute proactive new business campaigns to attract and convert high-value prospects, consistently keeping Powerforce top-of-mind within the client-side marketing and brand owner community.

4. Champion Insight & Process: Utilize CRM for accurate forecasting and reporting. Implement continuous improvements to optimize our client engagement and pitch-to-win ratio.

5. Cultivate High-Value Relationships: Proactively network and build relationships with key teams at target client organizations.

What We're Looking For:

You are a creative, commercially savvy leader and a skilled communicator who thrives on building trust and winning business.

You will bring demonstrated experience in:

6. Proven success in New Business Development or Bid Leadership, with a distinct preference for experience gained within a Field Marketing Agency, Retail Activation, or a Marketing Services environment.

7. Deep understanding of the FMCG or Retail landscape, including the challenges brands face in achieving perfect store execution and sales growth.

8. Exceptional ability in proposal writing and delivering persuasive visual presentations (PowerPoint or Google Slides).

9. Strong commercial acumen and confidence in developing commercial pricing models for services-based contracts.

10. A collaborative, positive mindset and the ability to work cross-functionally with Operations, Insights, and Finance teams to design winning solutions.
