Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our Centre of Excellence team. This strategic role is responsible for designing and delivering cloud solutions that align with customer business objectives, while promoting best practices across multi-cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will combine strategic planning capabilities with hands-on technical delivery experience, ensuring solutions are robust, scalable, and aligned to business and technical goals.
Responsibilities
* Architect and design multi-cloud solutions (Azure and AWS) that meet customer requirements and align with industry best practices.
* Lead and facilitate technical workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable architecture and delivery plans.
* Develop and maintain 12-month delivery plans using Azure DevOps (ADO), ensuring alignment between technical delivery and business goals.
* Provide hands-on delivery in the implementation of cloud solutions to assist the team of engineers, including:
* Writing and reviewing Terraform code for infrastructure provisioning.
* Creating and managing ADO pipelines for CI/CD automation.
* Act as a technical authority within the Centre of Excellence, promoting standards, reusable patterns, and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and business stakeholders.
* Mentor and support junior architects and engineers in cloud best practices and delivery methodologies.
Qualifications
* Azure and AWS certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional).
* Experience in hybrid cloud or cloud migration projects.
* Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
* Strong understanding of Cloud Architecture and Infrastructure as Code.
* Experience working in a Centre of Excellence or similar strategic function.
