Cardiology SpR – Barking, Havering and Redbridge NHS Trust
A vacancy for a fixed term 6‑month Cardiology SpR (ST3 equivalent) in the BHRUT acute trust. The role is based at Queen’s Hospital, Romford and King George Hospital, Goodmayes and offers clinical experience in general cardiology.
The successful applicant must be GMC registered, hold an MBBS and have at least a post‑foundation level of training. MRCP is desirable and previous cardiology experience is highly desirable.
On‑call duties are part of the post, with participation in the on‑call rota.
* See ward referrals under the supervision of consultant cardiologists.
* Supervise two IMTs and three junior clinical fellows.
* Carry out up to two outpatient general cardiology clinics per week.
* Engage in early career development opportunities (echocardiography, coronary angiography, pacing) as appropriate.
* Contribute to departmental audit projects and the teaching of medical students.
* Attend the weekly cardiology departmental meeting.
