Provide support in the planned and preventative maintenance at Principality Stadium/WRU Centre of Excellence as required, ensuring adherence to legislative and event requirements.
Salary: £30,000 per annum.
Location: Principality Stadium, Cardiff
Hours of Work: 40 per week. Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm, with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and event work.
Contractual Status: Permanent, full-time, subject to a 6-month probationary period.

The Person
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, able to work in a busy team, with good knowledge and experience in general maintenance including painting, plumbing, carpentry, and other repairs.
You should be confident working at heights, physically fit for lifting tasks, and willing to work some unsocial hours.
* Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
* Willingness to learn and adapt
* Trade qualification at NVQ Level 2 or higher in carpentry or plumbing
* IT skills, specifically Microsoft Office
* IOSH qualification or working towards it
* Ability to work at heights
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Welsh language skills are desirable
The Role
* Perform maintenance duties as required
* Keep work and storage areas clean and organized
* Support with painting, plumbing, seat repairs, barriers, carpentry, doors, and concrete repairs within the stadium
* Understand health and safety responsibilities and COSHH assessments
* Maintain equipment and report faults
* Follow best practices and report incidents
* Conduct inspections before events, including checks of facilities and infrastructure
* Provide support during events, communicating with the maintenance team and stadium control
* Maintain professional and courteous relationships with staff and report concerns
* Demonstrate strong carpentry, building, and decorating skills

WRU Requirements
Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office, excellent communication skills, and ability to build relationships. Welsh language skills and a valid UK driver’s license are desirable. The role requires a basic/enhanced DBS check.
