Overview
We require a highly motivated and innovative person to join our Orthopaedic Physiotherapy team in NHS Borders. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to complete clinical and non-clinical duties together with service development activities.
Responsibilities
Post holders will be based in the BGH working on the Orthopaedic Wards, to support delivery of high quality care working in collaboration with physiotherapists and occupational therapists.
This role involves working with a delegated caseload within both trauma and elective pathways using formal protocols as well as a number of non-clinical duties.
Expectation that post holder will support weekend orthopaedic rota working.
Ongoing personal and professional development is essential to provide a quality service and is supported through CPD, appraisals and in-service training.
Working Hours
As from 1st April 2026 the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
