About The Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated SENIOR ACCOUNTANT with a strong background in accounting as well as experience working in a PRACTICE setting. This position will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting and financial management, including financial reporting and budgeting.
Responsibilities:
* Work in the Advisory Team.
* Interact with and manage clients. Client facing role immediately – meeting with companies over £200 million in revenue, providing and learning accounting advice.
* Oversee all aspects of the company's accounting and financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, and tax compliance.
* Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
* Learn and implement financial modelling and forecasting.
* Stay up-to-date with accounting and finance best practices, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
* Coordinate with external auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
* Manage a team of accounting professionals, including setting goals, providing feedback, and ensuring deadlines are met.
* Provide strategic financial advice and support to management to help drive business growth and profitability.
* Stay up-to-date with accounting and finance best practices, regulations, and standards to ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience
* ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualification, or currently studying
* 3Years+ of experience in accounting and financial reporting, preferably in UK Public Practice
* Has FULL working rights in the UK and will NOT require sponsorship
* Strong communication skills, adept at engaging with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
