Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Assistant to provide high-quality home care services to clients in their own homes. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. A valid driving licence is required to facilitate travel between clients' homes, ensuring flexible and efficient care delivery.
Duties
* Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans.
* Support clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence and well‑being.
* Administer medication as prescribed, following strict health and safety guidelines.
* Prepare meals and assist with feeding when necessary, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
* Perform light domestic chores including laundry, cleaning, and organising the home environment.
* Maintain accurate records of care provided, adhering to organisational policies and procedures.
* Communicate effectively with clients, family members, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care delivery.
* Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe environment for both clients and staff.
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
* Driving licence is preferred to enable travel between clients’ homes efficiently.
* Good command of English language skills for effective communication.
* Basic IT skills for record keeping and documentation purposes.
* Strong communication skills with an empathetic approach towards clients’ needs.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering compassionate care tailored to individual needs.
