As a
Senior Risk Manager
, you will play a key role in embedding the Group's risk management framework across the Finance and Strategy functions, including Finance Services Operations and Procurement. Working closely with the Divisional Risk Officer for Corporate Functions, you will support the identification, assessment, management, and monitoring of risks to ensure strong and effective governance across the organisation.
This is a highly visible role requiring strong collaboration across the Group Risk team, central functions, and business units to ensure risk is integrated into decision-making and strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Oversight & Advisory
* Provide second line oversight and challenge for Finance, Strategy, Finance Services Operations, and Procurement.
* Partner with senior stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate key risks.
* Act as a trusted advisor, embedding risk management in major initiatives and change programmes.
Governance & Framework
* Support the Divisional Risk Officer in managing risk appetite, risk registers, and reporting to senior committees.
* Ensure alignment with Group Risk frameworks, policies, and standards.
* Escalate emerging risks promptly and ensure remediation plans are effective.
Collaboration & Engagement
* Work closely with central teams (Frameworks, Policy, CEP, Tooling, Cyber, Sustainability, TPRM) to ensure consistency and strong risk culture.
* Liaise with other Coverage teams (Data & Analytics, Markets, Post Trade, Operations) to ensure cross-functional alignment.
* Build strong relationships with first-line stakeholders to drive proactive risk management
Monitoring & Reporting
* Deliver clear and insightful risk reporting to management and governance forums.
* Monitor trends and emerging risks in financial, operational, and strategic domains.
* Support regulatory and internal audit engagements where required.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a risk management role within financial services, consulting, or corporate functions.
* Strong knowledge of risk frameworks, policies, and regulatory expectations.
* Ability to analyse complex issues and provide clear, practical solutions.
* Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience engaging senior leaders.
* Strong organisational and reporting skills, with attention to detail.
* Collaborative mindset, able to work effectively across diverse teams and disciplines.
