Due to continued growth, our client is recruiting for an Accounts & Audit Manager to assist partners in delivering statutory audit and accounts services to a varied portfolio of clients. This role could be at Assistant Manager level for an experienced Senior seeking a step up, and would be offered at an appropriate salary.

The role involves approximately 60% accounts and 40% audit work. You will manage junior team members, allocate work, review their outputs, and support their development.
Reporting to partners, the Accounts & Audit Manager will have the following responsibilities:
1. Planning and delivering accounts and audit assignments in conjunction with the client partner.
2. Leading some large and complex assignments.
3. Supervising junior staff during audits and reviewing their work.
4. Delivering the audit file to the partner in a timely manner.
5. Identifying cross-selling opportunities and potential management letter points.
6. Monitoring chargeability and assignment budgets proactively.
7. Coaching staff for improved performance and technical development.
8. Developing specialist sector knowledge and staying updated on industry developments.
9. Mentoring audit and accounts trainees and contributing to training and development programs.

1. ACA/ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience in practice.
2. Experience in audit planning, budget preparation, risk identification, audit development, and execution.
3. Knowledge of current auditing standards and approaches.
4. Experience with electronic working paper systems for audit and accounts files.
5. Proficiency in IT with experience in accounts and audit software.
6. Extensive experience in statutory company accounts preparation under FRS102.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
