Sales Development Specialist
to join us at the Jensten Group. You’ll be based at our Cheadle Hulme office, and we offer hybrid working options once settled into the role. Reporting to the New Business Manager and working closely with our Account Executives, the main purpose of the role is to proactively identify, research, and engage with Commercial Insurance prospects, supporting the growth of the business through high-quality lead generation— which our Executives will hopefully convert. Some key objectives & responsibilities will include: Drive targeted generation of new business leads. Conduct outbound calls to prospects, qualifying leads and booking appointments for Account Executives (AEs). Collaborate closely with AEs and attend regular sales and pipeline meetings to align priorities and share insights. Use CRM (Acturis) to record all prospecting activity and maintain accurate opportunity data. Monitor and report on call activity. Encourage and support all staff in identifying potential leads for follow-up, researching renewal dates, and adding to the pipeline. Maintain and update opportunity pipeline in offices to track prospecting progress and team contributions. Deliver weekly reports on lead generation activity, including calls made, leads generated, appointments booked, and conversion rates. Ensure compliance with local procedures, customer service standards, and external regulations such as FCA. About you As our Sales Development Specialist, you’ll have excellent communication and written skills with a keen eye for detail. You will be the type of person who wants to constantly develop, and you can expect fantastic career progression, training, and development within the role and the Insurance Industry in general.
