Primary Class Teacher
Required for September 2026 in Key Stage 2
Salary Scale: Main Pay Scale M1-M6 (Fringe)
Responsible to: Phase Leader / Head Teacher
Stepgates is a forward-thinking, well-resourced mainstream primary school with a Specialist Centre for 25 children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs. We are an inclusive, caring and friendly school with a creative approach to teaching and learning and a strong commitment to professional development and staff well-being.
We are seeking to appoint a Primary Class Teacher to join our dedicated, friendly and motivated team. Applications are warmly welcomed from teachers at all stages of their career, and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are particularly encouraged to apply.
You will be required to teach in Key Stage 2.

•is enthusiastic about all aspects of learning and teaching, with high expectations of attainment and behaviour for all pupils

•has a strong belief in inclusion, diversity and the right of every child to succeed, whatever their needs, abilities or background
•is able to inspire, motivate and foster positive relationships, working in partnership with parents, staff, governors and the wider community
•has good interpersonal skills, a sense of humour and the ability to work as part of a hardworking, enthusiastic and committed team
•is committed to their own professional development and keen to make a positive contribution to the life of the school
