Job Title: Social Worker

Location: Enfield, London

Salary: £38,364 - £48,060 per annum

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 37.5 per week

Team: Children in Need/Child Protection Team

Key Responsibilities:

* Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to identify their needs, strengths, and risks.
* Develop and implement care plans in collaboration with children, families, and multi-agency partners to address identified concerns and promote positive outcomes.
* Lead and participate in child protection conferences, reviews, and strategy meetings to assess and manage risks to children.
* Undertake investigations and assessments in cases of suspected abuse or neglect, taking appropriate safeguarding measures in line with statutory guidelines and council policies.
* Provide direct support and intervention to children and families, offering practical assistance, advocacy, and emotional support.
* Advocate for the rights and best interests of children, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are prioritised.
* Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including health professionals, schools, and voluntary agencies, to coordinate support services and promote holistic care.
* Attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings to facilitate integrated service delivery and decision-making.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations and professional standards.
* Prepare clear and concise reports, assessments, and court documentation, presenting information in a timely and effective manner.

Qualifications and Experience:

* Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England.
* Proven experience working in children's services, with a focus on child protection and safeguarding.
* Sound understanding of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures governing child welfare and protection.
* Strong assessment, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and engage effectively with children, families, and professionals.
* Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a fast-paced and demanding environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines effectively.
* Commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of children and families, advocating for their needs with sensitivity and empathy.
