A rare opportunity has come up to join a technology company who operate in the defence sector. My client is looking for a Senior Bid Manager on a 12 month contract. This is a full time role, working hybrid from either Lincoln or Cambridge.
This role would suit a bid professional who is confident managing all aspects of the bid process as well as creating written content. You will be joining a team of 4, focusing on larger, more complex opportunities.
Applicants must be able to pass security clearance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage the end-to-end bid process including (but not limited to) the planning and facilitation of Win Strategy reviews, Bid Kick-off meetings, Content Planning workshops and reviews, Proposal Document reviews and other key approval stages
2. Work with stakeholders to develop a clear win strategy for each bid and ensure win themes are clear and compelling
3. Manage bid teams and obtain inputs from key stakeholders, typically engaging with business development, technical teams, finance, commercial, HR and project management / delivery groups.
4. Manage and track risks throughout the bid process
5. Review and contribute to the written proposal
