Description
We have a new positioned opened up on our Quality Assurance team covering the southeast. The role is a regional role with regular travel to production and manufacturing operational sites. You’ll support key customer facilities and plants in the following locations; Sittingbourne, Hoddesdon, Needham, Reading, Thurrock, Northfleet, South Ockendon.
The team play a key role maintaining our high standards of production at our service centres and customer operations. You’ll promote a quality culture and support the quality management system through product and process audits. You’ll also play a key part in a customer facing role, provide support and resolution of any quality related issues.
Key Responsibilities
1. To implement the Quality Audit program at CHEP own and subcontracted plants, in line with the quality team objectives
2. To ensure all plants are focussed on delivering assured quality products and services to its entire customer base
3. Warrant consistent product/process audits
4. Analyse product defects
5. Monitor and report quality assurance at plant /country level
6. To ensure the implementation of complaint investigation resolution actions
7. To communicate changes to procedures relating to quality, or Management Systems.
8. Advise on the training needs of all plant operatives and staff
9. Gather accurate data around defect analysis
10. Convert data translation into positive actions
11. To warrant information flow in and out of the plant and upward with regard to quality
12. Monitor the Implementation of policies, procedures, standardisation and guidelines for all products
13. To support the ongoing maintenance of all management systems at plant level via process audits
14. Communicate with and support customers in quality related issues
What you’ll need:
15. Experience in a manufacturing production quality role.
16. Full Driving License
17. Ideally Six Sigma Green Belt qualification
18. Strong numerical and verbal skills
19. Highly organised with a flexible, pro-active, self-motivated and persistent approach.
20. Good coaching skills.
21. Proven skills and capabilities in communication and problem solving.
22. Knowledge and experience of quality principals.
