Here at GXO we are looking for a Transport Operations Manager to work at our Currys site in Newark. Working in a fast‑paced Transport department for our leading high street retailer customer, you will experience a blend of first line operational tasks and hands‑on project involvement. You’ll ensure compliance of company O‑Licence obligations are met and all customer expectations internally and externally.
The role is full‑time, permanent. You will work Sunday to Thursday, 07:00‑16:00, with some flexibility required.

What you’ll do on a typical day
* Provide leadership to direct reports and ensure all operational procedures and processes are adhered to, ensuring effective flow of goods into, through and out of the site, with safe onward transportation to their final point of delivery
* Manage change positively and effectively by proactively managing operational planning and meeting changing customer requirements
* Maintain a customer‑focused approach whilst being responsive to customer requirements with consistent excellence in customer relationship management
* Ensure the transport function is legally compliant by ensuring correct compliance processes are in place and monitored within the O‑licence regulations
What you need to succeed at GXO
* Proven experience in a leadership role within the transportation or logistics industry
* Strong customer‑facing experience within a fast‑paced environment
* Strong knowledge of transportation operations, safety regulations and legal compliance
* Good Microsoft Office knowledge, particularly Excel and Power BI, with sound knowledge of transport management systems such as Microlise, Tachomaster, Paragon
* Problem‑solving skills and the ability to manage challenge
