About the role
As a Transport First Line Manager, you'll be managing Partners and agency across the Transport operation, helping to maintain the smooth running of our Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC). This is a 7-day-a-week operation where you will ensure productivity and key customer service levels are met within budget. You'll play an active role in motivating and leading your team.
Due to its nature, you need to be 18-years or older to work in this role.
Working Pattern
- 37.5 hours per week: Earliest start time from 05:00 and latest finish time 23:00, including weekend working.
Contract
This position is a Permanent role.
Salary
- £36,400 - £57,600 per annum
Key Responsibilities
* Managing the performance, wellbeing and development of all Partners in your team, including absence management, conduct management, and performance interventions.
* Optimising productivity and managing overtime and agency usage to control costs.
* Delivering high-quality Customer Service to Customers and Stakeholders.
* Supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
* Ensuring safety by following all Legal, Health, Safety procedures, EU Driving Regulations, and Operational procedures.
* Deputising for the Transport Manager when unavailable.
Essential skills/experience
* Proficient Transport knowledge of current EU and Working Time regulations.
* Full UK Manual Driving Licence, with a maximum of 6 penalty points.
* Experience in a management role within a Transport/E-Commerce environment.
* Understanding of Health and Safety legislation.
* Experience dealing with disciplinary procedures.
