Job Title: Clinical Psychologist – Adult Mental Health (AMH) Band: 8a/b/c Location: Blackpool, Lancashire Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week Rate: Competitive — details to be discussed upon application We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 8a/b/c Clinical Psychologist to join our NHS client in Blackpool, Lancashire. This locum opportunity is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, supporting adult mental health services. Key Responsibilities Provide highly specialist psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions for adults experiencing complex mental health difficulties. Offer expert consultation and advice to multidisciplinary teams to enhance psychological understanding and care planning. Deliver clinical supervision to junior psychologists, trainees, and assistant psychologists. Contribute to service development, quality improvement, and audit activities. Support the implementation of evidence-based practices and psychological therapies across the service. Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional and legal standards. Qualifications & Experience Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent) HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist Significant post-qualification experience in adult mental health settings Advanced skills in psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention Experience in supervision, consultation, and service development Strong leadership, communication, and team-working abilities How to Apply If your expertise aligns with this role, apply today!
