We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled EUC Refresh Engineer to join our team supporting a busy client in Cambridge. This role is crucial in ensuring a smooth and efficient refresh of desktop and laptop devices for staff within a complex and demanding environment. You will be working on-site, directly with end-users, requiring excellent communication and interpersonal skills alongside technical expertise. Key Responsibilities:
* Deployment and Configuration:Deploying and configuring new desktop and laptop devices (hardware and software) according to established standards and procedures. This includes imaging, software installation and peripheral setup.
* Hardware and Software Troubleshooting:Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues on end-user devices, escalating complex problems to senior engineers as needed.
* End-User Support:Providing friendly and professional on-site support to staff during the refresh process.
* Asset Management:Accurately recording and tracking hardware assets throughout the refresh process, ensuring proper disposal of old equipment.
* Collaboration:Working closely with other IT teams and staff to coordinate refresh activities and minimize disruption to clinical operations.
* Documentation:Maintaining accurate records of work performed, including hardware and software configurations, troubleshooting steps, and user interactions.
* Adherence to Policies:Following all relevant company policies and procedures, including data security and confidentiality guidelines.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Proven experience in end-user compute (EUC) device refresh/deployment in a large and complex environment (healthcare experience desirable).
* Strong understanding of desktop and laptop hardware and software, including Windows operating systems, common office applications, and peripheral devices.
* Experience with imaging and deployment tools (eg, SCCM).
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
* Ability to work independently and as part of 1 a team.
