Overview
We are recruiting for long‑term contract work for petrochemical and power sector sites, including locations such as Great Yarmouth, Bacton, Thetford, Peterborough and other areas.
Responsibilities
* Fabricate large bore 24‑48 inch carbon pipework and 6‑8 inch /10‑12 inch pipework.
* Set up pipe butts and flanges for welding.
* Weld pipework to coded specifications using MIG FCAW, TIG, or MMA.
* Perform gas pipework fabrication, fitting, welding, and pipe testing.
* Complete all required checks and pipework tests.
Qualifications
* C&C or NVQ in Welding, Pipe Fitting or Plating.
* CCNSG Safety Passport or EMSS Safety Passport.
* Experience working on large bore pipework in petrochemical and power station projects.
* Welders must complete a coded weld test before commencing work.
o Procedures include TIG root and hot pass and MIG FCAW or MMA fill and cap.
Hours and Term
Hours of work: 07:00‑17:00 or 07:00‑19:00 Monday to Friday, Saturday 07:00‑15:30 and Sunday if required.
Term: 18‑26 weeks with potential extension depending on attendance, performance & workload.
Pay
Skilled: £26 per hour + £2 per hour retention bonus Monday to Friday; £33 per hour Saturday; £36 per hour Sunday.
Additional Information
Further work may be available for those prepared to travel and lodge away, with hotel and meals paid for by the company if the site is not local.
