Job Description
3. Assist in the preparation of half yearly Group consolidations for statutory purposes
4. Support subsidiary entity finance teams with monthly and annual reporting requirements and areas of accounting focus
5. Obtain and review monthly reporting packages, reviewing key accounts (e.g. AR, AP, VAT, inter-company)
6. Provide oversight, challenge and support to finance teams across multiple jurisdictions
7. Development of local finance functions in relation to IFRS reporting to enable IFRS accounting locally
8. Ensure all intercompany eliminations on consolidation are managed monthly and any corrections at entity level are performed
9. Preparation of technical accounting papers, policy applications, complex IFRS topics
10. Act as key Group contact for external auditors, manage audit queries, coordinate subsidiary audit processes
11. Work collaboratively with our ESG team to ensure ongoing compliance with evolving sustainability and reporting requirements, while actively contributing to the development of enhanced processes, insights and capabilities that support the Group's long‑term ESG strategy
12. Assist in ensuring general accounting is accurate and complies with IFRS and Group accounting policies
13. Prepare and deliver specific analyses and support for internal and external audit requirements, liaising with the auditors and colleagues across the business as required
14. Assistance with individual entity financial statement and corporation tax filings across the Group
15. Continuous improvement of processes and controls across the Group, and further development of our Lucanet consolidation system
16. Work closely with the Group finance team also based in Bath, as well as subsidiary entities on wider projects and activities
The Successful Applicant
17. Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
18. Experience of working in practice preferable
19. Strong work ethic and building relationships. This relationship building will require a small amount of foreign travel
20. Good communication skills both oral and written
21. Good analytical and reporting skills
22. Advanced Excel user, with strong accounting software experience
23. Role will be based a minimum of 3 days a week in the office
