Role Details:
As a Cost Manager, you will provide cost planning, estimating, and control across nuclear defence projects. You will develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and reports, ensuring compliance with standards while supporting decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive performance and technical standards through clear communication.
* Support Project and Programme Managers in monthly finance and delivery reviews.
* Engage with Finance, ensuring evidence and reporting requirements are met.
* Work with Project Managers and Planners to develop accurate, aligned forecasts.
* Track and review costs to demonstrate ongoing affordability.
* Produce timely cost reports for month-end and update financial systems.
* Support JV cost controllers with invoicing and payment receipting.
Key Requirements:
* Able to communicate professionally and effectively with a variety of Stakeholders.
* Detail-oriented and organised, with experience of identifying, analysing, and solving problems.
* Excellent presentation and reporting skills (to support Cost Pre-meetings and Pre meetings for month end.
* Experience of working in a wider Project Controls team on complex projects.
* Detailed working knowledge of cost engineering functions, cost control and cost analysis.
* CEMAR experience.
* Relevant Professional Membership or working towards.
* Desirable:
5+ years' experience estimating, Chartered status, NEC experience.
