Job Title: Neurological Support Worker
Location: Sutton Coldfield B74
Salary: Days £18ph, Waking Nights £16.50pm
Shift Patterns: 8:00am - 8:00pm or 8:00pm - 8:00am. 3 - 4 shifts per week, specific
days negotiable.
About the Role:
We are a well-established organisation that supports adults with catastrophic and complex
neurological injuries. We are looking to recruit a Support Worker to join our team assisting a
gentleman with a severe spinal cord injury to live in his own home with as much
independence as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
● Support and assist with all aspects of client’s life including personal care, moving and
handling, nutrition, therapy and accessing the community.
● working under the guidance of a multidisciplinary team, the case manager and the
client and their family, with the aim of promoting as much independence for our client
as possible
● Our client has significant physical difficulties requiring skilled support workers to
assist them with managing these challenges.
● Meeting the client’s physical and psychological needs.

The success of the role depends on your ability to understand the nature of our
client’s difficulties, bring a positive enabling approach, and build a strong rapport and
trust with them.
Additional Requirements:
● You must have experience of working in a care role.
● Experience of working with individuals with spinal cord injury is desirable but full
training will be provided for the specific requirements of the role along with excellent
ongoing supervision and support.
● Ability to record information in legible, fluent English.
● A full UK driving licence is essential due to the client’s needs.
● Willingness to cover both days and nights is preferable.
