Job Description
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials to assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of key objectives related to the Education Service Plan and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will need to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member or have their existing membership updated before a formal offer of employment can be made. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant disclosures will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position at Willowbank School, Kilmarnock, until 31st March 2026. The hours are 27.5 per week, Monday to Friday, under the direction of the Head Teacher. Willowbank School caters to pupils with severe, complex, and profound additional support needs. Experience working with children with Additional Support Needs is advantageous.
