Overview
Children and Young People Service are recruiting a full time 37 hour Professional Practice Assistant position, at Grade 3 level, providing a flexible, high quality, efficient and responsive business support service to support the delivery of front line services. There is an expectation that you will cover front of house at other sites city wide and provide an effective customer focused service to children, young people, their families, carers and professionals.
Responsibilities
* Based at Lil Bilocca House on the reception desk, meeting and greeting visitors for services within the SEND Hub including the Children's Disability Team and Leisure and Family Support Service (LAFSS), with partner organisations who access the SEND Hub.
* Provide front of house cover across sites city wide, dealing with visitors face to face and maintaining a resilient, professional, customer focused approach in potentially difficult situations.
* Answer telephone calls for Children's Safeguarding in a challenging and emotive environment; process service requests; maintain, update and retrieve information within Liquidlogic; and perform a variety of other administration tasks.
* Demonstrate confidentiality and work within GDP/GDPR regulations.
* Hybrid working arrangements are in place; however, the role is reception based and you will be expected to work in the office.
Qualifications
* NVQ level 3, or working towards a level 3 qualification, or equivalent experience in a busy demanding environment.
* Good interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proficient in the use of IT.
