Junior Clinical Fellow
Details
* Start Date: August/September 2026
* Contract Type: Fixed term
* Duration: 12 months (first appointment 6–12 months with potential renewal)
* Purpose: Structured training and supervised clinical development aligned to the specialty training curriculum
Responsibilities
* Participate in the Tier 1 resident doctor rota (FY3–ST2 equivalent) on the neonatal unit, covering shifts in intensive care, high dependency, special care and transitional care.
* Cover the delivery suite bleep and attend high‑risk deliveries.
* Perform post‑natal ward and community reviews.
* Develop procedural skills including peripheral cannulation, central line insertion (umbilical and long line), lumbar puncture and tracheal intubation.
Qualifications
* Minimum 24 months of clinical experience after medical school graduation.
* Minimum 12 months of clinical experience working in the UK.
* Current clinical status equivalent to FY3–ST2+.

Salary
* Basic salary at the National Medical and Dental pay circular pay point, plus any additional remuneration for extra hours, weekend allowance and enhanced pay hours.
