The Role
This position is Self Employed and requires tutors to work in‑person in Cambourne and the surrounding villages (at the student’s home or in‑school) delivering curriculum relevant and appropriate material in a positive and engaging way to students of all ages. As a tutor you will be responsible for preparing and delivering each session for your student, and the accurate and timely recording of work carried out or set during a tuition session. You will work with our Schools and Families matching teams with the aim of providing tailored and student focussed tutoring to engender confidence and achieve student goals.
Responsibilities
* Delivering 1:1 tutoring sessions at the student's home (generally evenings and weekends)
* Delivering 1:1 or small group sessions in schools (generally during the school day)
* Clarifying and teaching subject matter
* Assessing student's knowledge on a regular basis
* Presenting a friendly, and professional demeanour
Skills and Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year’s tutoring experience (Essential)
* Knowledge and understanding of UK Curriculum and Examinations process (Essential)
* Passion for your subject/s and the ability to share that passion (Essential)
* Full clean UK Driving License
* Current Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
* Safeguarding and Prevent Training Certificates
