The role
As a cyber security engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Providing high quality, HMG and MOD standards compliant Digital Security advice and guidance to the wider Systems Engineering and Design teams.
Day to day, you’ll You will provide support to a range of Information & Communication Technology
This role is a full time permanent position and provides hybrid working arrangements, to allow for the autonomy the role demands, through the right blend of days in the office, customer site, and working from home.
Essential experience of the Cyber Security Engineer:
1. Previous experience of supporting ICT projects with Cyber Security hardening/lockdown.
2. Experience of International Standards including ISO and NIST Cyber Security Framework.
3. Providing customer-facing Cyber and Digital Security advice and guidance.
4. A broad, in-depth understanding of functional computing, network environments, and technical architecture including legacy technologies.
5. Knowledge of Security Enforcement Functions such as OS Hardening, Network Hardening, Access Control and the role they play.
Qualifications for the Cyber Security Engineer:
6. Degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or time served relevant experience OR if qualifications are not specified use the below statement
The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
