Delivery: Operates manual and automated equipment to manufacture and assemble product to meet customer expectations. Achieves production goals, works at the required cycle time or defined engineering standard, maintains clean and orderly work area including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks, performs planned operator care and maintenance tasks, remains flexible to perform miscellaneous duties to meet production goals, works with peers, skilled trades and support staff to maintain and identify equipment needing repair.
Teamwork: Communicates effectively with the assigned team and with all support teams. Completes training and personal development in line with business requirements. Participates actively in ways to improve quality, safety, process, material flow, and employee development.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Minimal or no work experience required.
Must be able to identify and install correct tooling and workpieces, monitor tool life, replace worn tools and reduce scrap and rework.
Must be able to use and read calipers and gauges.
Must be able to inspect parts to ensure quality compliance and identify defects and tool wear.
High school diploma, GED, certificate or vocational training in manufacturing preferred.
At least six months of experience in assembling and inspecting brake components within Cummins (CDBS).
Six months of experience within Cummins (CDBS).
Must be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds on a continuous basis.
