Ashby Signs Ltd, trading as Ashby Trade Sign Supplies Ltd, is a family-owned business with over 25 years of experience supplying the UK signage industry. Operating from our 32,000 sq ft factory near Basingstoke, we transform sheet aluminium into top-quality signage systems.

We're now looking for a dedicated Production Operative to support our manufacturing process and help maintain our high standards.
The Role
As a Production Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards. Your responsibilities will include:
* Preparing semi-finished products and ensuring they meet quality standards.
* Conducting quality checks and testing products before dispatch.
* Linishing, assembling, and packing products for safe transportation.
* Loading delivery vehicles efficiently and checking deliveries upon arrival.
* Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe work environment, reporting any hazards.
* Using manufacturing machinery after training.
* Effective stock control.
* Reading and following job cards.
* Supporting other production areas as needed.
The Candidate
We're looking for someone with a keen eye for detail, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn. Ideally, you will have:
* Good communication skills and the ability to read work instructions in English.
* Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow procedures accurately.
* A flexible and proactive approach, able to work independently and as part of a team.
* The ability to lift heavy objects and work in physically demanding conditions.
Desirable (but not essential):
* Experience in dispatch or quality control.
* The ability to read technical drawings.
* A forklift licence.

* A full-time position with a shift pattern of 07:00 – 18:00, Monday to Friday.

The Hours:
Our business operates Monday to Friday, the office is open 08:00 to 18:00, the factory opens 07:00 to 18:00 with weekend work availability.
You'll also have a 30-minute daily unpaid lunch break, split into two 15-minute breaks, with the option to extend the 30-minutes to one hour.
