Your RoleAs an IT Support Technician, you will play a key role in providing high‑quality technical support to internal users while ensuring the stability, performance and security of their IT infrastructure. Reporting to the IT Support Operations Manager, you will deliver hands‑on support across networks, systems and end‑user devices, helping to resolve issues efficiently and supporting ongoing infrastructure and improvement projects.
You will be involved in day‑to‑day IT operations, incident management, technical troubleshooting and vendor coordination, while also contributing to the development of documentation, knowledge bases and user training. This role offers the opportunity to help shape the IT support function during a period of transition and increased workload, making a real impact from day one.
What You Need to SucceedYou will have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a technical support or IT infrastructure role, with strong hands‑on experience supporting Windows and macOS environments. A third‑level qualification inputer Science, Information Technology or a related discipline is preferred, or equivalent practical experience in delivering IT services.
Strong technical knowledge is required across Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, networking (LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi), firewalls and general network administration. You will have experience managing and resolving IT infrastructure and security incidents, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions. Familiarity with cybersecurity principles, vulnerability remediation, helpdesk systems, remote desktop tools and vendor management is essential.Equally important are your soft skills. You will be a strongmunicator with a customer‑focused mindset, able to work independently and as part of a team. You’ll bring excellent problem‑solving ability, strong attention to detail, the ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment, and a genuine eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies. Flexibility to participate in an out‑of‑hours rota and occasional travel will be required.
