We have a fantastic opportunity for a Landfill Gas Maintenance Technician to join our team, working across our South West Area, working 50 hours a week across Monday to Friday, occasional weekend may be required
Due to the regional nature of the role, a van for business use will be provided. The base site for this role will be Broadpath
About the role
Working as part of the Maintenance Team, you will deliver high quality support services to our Landfill and Aftercare sites, Landfill gas, Leachate, and gas utility plants.
As our Maintenance Technician, you will assist in the safe and effective installation, maintenance, and repair of environment control systems, in particular (but not limited to) landfill gas collection systems, in accordance with the appropriate standards (i.e., company standards documents and procedures, industry best practice, regulatory guidance documentation) and that the relevant Health and Safety requirements are fulfilled.
You will also liaise closely with the operational delivery functions within Powergen and Landfill, to ensure that when Maintenance work is planned, it is be delivered in line with business priorities
What are we looking for?
* A good knowledge of the use of specialist plant and equipment used for the installation, maintenance, and repair activities, in particular, fusion welding techniques.
* Good knowledge of computer software for record keeping and administration
* The ability to solve problem using your own initiative, sometimes with no direct supervision
* Practical 'hands on' experience of fusion welding techniques, in particular butt fusion and electrofusion welding techniques.
* Hold a current and relevant qualification to undertake electrofusion and butt fusion welding.
* Full driving licence.
* Experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of environmental control systems, in particular landfill gas collection systems
