Teaching Personnel is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants / Learning Support Assistants to work in a supportive Mainstream Primary School located in London W12 (Shepherd’s Bush area). This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong interest or background in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and/or challenging behaviour.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils with autism and/or behavioural needs
* Assist in the implementation of individual behaviour plans and learning programmes
* Support the class teacher in delivering a broad and balanced curriculum
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
* Monitor and record pupil progress in line with school policies
Requirements:
* Experience working with children with SEN, particularly Autism and challenging behaviour, in any setting (schools, care, youth services, etc.)
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with children
* A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel)
