Overview
The post holder will be expected to undertake administrative duties directly associated with the care of patients and the running of clinics. There is an opportunity to develop a specialist interest. Other duties will include:
* Supervision of patients receiving day case infusions
* Seeing ward referrals from other team
* Clinical supervisor for trainee doctors and nurse specialists
* Involvement in departmental teaching of trainees and other health professionals
* Active part in Audit and Clinical Governance
* Involvement in teaching of undergraduate medical students will be encouraged
Responsibilities and Role Details
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, innovative and dedicated individual keen to add to our drive to deliver high-quality Rheumatology services for our local population. Please refer to the JDPS for the main responsibilities of this role. The successful candidate will be supported in developing subspecialty interests and will be actively involved in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching.
Qualifications
You will be required to have appropriate experience in Rheumatology and hold or be within 6 months of obtaining certification from the General Medical Council (CCT).
