Job Title
Vehicle MOT tester
The Role
The main purpose of a Vospers MOT Tester is to carry out MOT testing on customer vehicles in accordance with DVSA regulations and company standards, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out MOT tests in line with DVSA requirements, Vospers standards, and legal guidelines.
* Perform duties safely and economically in line with HSE legislation and company Health and Safety procedures.
* Maintain a positive and professional team environment.
* Ensure all MOT equipment and testing facilities are regularly checked and maintained.
* Maintain and develop knowledge of MOT regulations and vehicle safety standards.
* Conduct MOT tests accurately and consistently in line with current DVSA requirements and guidelines.
* Ensure MOT inspections are completed thoroughly, fairly, and without bias, maintaining the integrity of the MOT scheme at all times.
* Accurately record MOT test results, defects, and advisory items on the MOT testing system.
* Identify and categorise vehicle defects correctly in accordance with the MOT testing manual.
* Ensure vehicles are handled with care at all times whilst on the premises.
* Where required, communicate MOT results clearly with Service Advisors, Workshop Controller, or customers to aid understanding and customer satisfaction.
* Road test vehicles when necessary and permitted as part of the MOT process.
Ensure all paperwork and system entries are completed accurately and promptly
