Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Indian Curry Chef. Responsibilities
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
* Supervise and manage kitchen staff, including training, scheduling, and performance evaluation
* Oversee food production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
* Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to ensure smooth operations
* Collaborate with management to develop new menu items and special offerings
* Ensure all food served aligns with health and safety guidelines, including HACCP protocols
* Assist in serving guests when required, ensuring excellent customer service is provided at all times
* Lead by example in fostering a positive team environment centred on professionalism and hospitality
Experience
* Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality setting
* Supervising experience in a culinary context is highly desirable
* Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and presentation skills
* Strong leadership abilities with the capacity to manage teams effectively
* Demonstrated understanding of food safety standards and regulations
* Experience in menu development and food innovation is advantageous
* Familiarity with hospitality operations including serving guests and managing customer interactions
