PROPERTY MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT - HOSPITALITY - £60-75K - IFRS16 A MUST!

I am supporting an exciting & fast-growing food & beverage company that is looking for a Property Management Accountant to join the team! This role involves finance business partnering with internal & external stakeholders, along with many commercial duties, making it a well-rounded and exciting opportunity. The client seeks candidates trained within the Big 4 who have transitioned into the food & beverage, hospitality, retail, or property sectors, and are now seeking their next opportunity. Experience with IFRS16 reporting & property finance is essential.
The client is also open to candidates coming straight from the Big 4 if you have excellent academics and a confident, eager personality suitable for a finance business partnering role, or if you were trained within a finance graduate scheme within a hospitality/retail/property company!
Your new role
1. Manage the monthly accounting process and reporting for all property costs, including lease accounting under IFRS 16
2. Perform monthly reconciliations of the property balance sheet, including rent, rates, service charges, utilities, and other property costs
3. Own the preparation of all sections of the property month-end management pack
4. Conduct variance analysis on both the property P&L and balance sheet
5. Finance business partnering with finance & non-finance teams
6. Own all Fixed Asset accounting
7. Support the Head of Finance with inputs and assumptions for new store appraisals
8. Assist with budgeting and forecasting for property P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow
9. Identify and communicate risks & opportunities against the budget and forecast
10. Identify opportunities to optimize property costs and collaborate with the business to implement these
What you'll need to succeed
The client seeks candidates trained within the Big 4 who have moved into the food & beverage, hospitality, property, or retail sectors and are looking for their next opportunity. Experience with IFRS16 reporting and property finance is required. Candidates coming directly from the Big 4 with excellent academics and a confident, eager personality suitable for finance business partnering, or those trained within a finance graduate scheme in hospitality/retail/property, are also encouraged to apply.
