With a presence across five continents, they cater to clients in sectors such as automotive, chemical, financial, legal, medical, pharmaceutical, technology, and telecommunications.About The Role: Currently seeking an in-house commercial and IP counsel to join our clients dynamic legal team. In this role, you will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and closing commercial contracts to facilitate our business growth while managing associated risks. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with our IP Services Division, offering high-quality patent translations, global patent filing services, and cutting-edge IP research.Responsibilities:Review, revise, draft, and negotiate various contracts and agreements with customers, vendors, and partners globally, with a focus on providing timely and pragmatic legal advice.Provide counsel on our intellectual property portfolio, including patents, trademarks, and copyright, and collaborate with R&D teams to identify patentable inventions.Advise on intellectual property aspects of contracts and agreements, and liaise with external counsel and patent/trademark attorneys.Address any disputes or legal proceedings related to intellectual property.Collaborate with cross-functional teams and act as a subject matter expert on contract-related matters.Prioritize and manage ad-hoc requests and responsibilities across complex business and legal issues.Requirements:Qualified solicitor or barrister, or equivalent qualification from a common law jurisdiction.Minimum 3 years' post-qualification experience, preferably in an in-house role.Background in advising technology-driven organizations is advantageous.Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills, with expertise in commercial contracts and privacy issues.Sound knowledge of intellectual property law.Comfortable operating in an international setting and navigating cross-functional teams.Ability to think strategically, problem-solve creatively, and collaborate effectively.
