Interim Facilities and Asset Management Specialist
Location: Devon (Hybrid – 3 days per week in the office)
Contract: Interim / Contract
Rate: Daily rate negotiable (DOE)
Our social housing client is seeking an experienced Facilities and Asset Management professional to support a key organisational programme focused on EPC compliance, asset planning, and service optimization for their headquarters site in Devon
Key Areas of Responsibility
* Evaluate the current HQ EPC rating, energy efficiency data, and associated technical reports
* Review and resolve conflicting expert recommendations to define a clear route to achieving EPC B by 2030
* Develop detailed specifications for building and M&E upgrade works required to meet EPC targets
* Ensure EPC delivery aligns with wider building efficiency and parallel planning initiatives.
* Review the existing HQ Asset Management Plan
* Develop specifications for planned component upgrades and improvements identified within the AMP
* Lead tendering, procurement, and contract management for AMP-related works
* Support delivery and performance management of building improvement programmes.
* Develop a specification for an internal cleaning contract at HQ
* Market test cleaning services and evaluate in-house versus outsourced delivery models
* Provide a recommendation to deliver best value for money while maintaining quality standards.
Knowledge & Technical Expertise
* Applied knowledge of M&E plant and equipment in large-scale non-domestic buildings
* Understanding of building construction and the built environment
* Knowledge of financial management, contract management, procurement practice, and Health & Safety legislation.
Experience Required
* Senior-level facilities management experience in a complex FM environment
* Proven experience managing maintenance, upgrades, and M&E works
* Successful budget management and delivery of corporate built environment strategies.
Qualifications
* Degree-level qualification in Facilities Management, Surveying, Construction, M&E, or similar or equivalent professional experience
