Offer description

Job title

Volunteer beta tester — Offload (remote) - NEED STUDENTS ages 16 - 24, GCSE to degree-level.

Company description

Cogniy builds Offload, an ML-powered study planner for students: one place for what to revise, when to review, and how to reschedule when deadlines and life shift. It brings materials, a smart queue, study formats, and calendar-aware planning into one flow so you spend less energy on admin and more on learning. Google Calendar is part of the loop so sessions and commitments stay aligned—labs, shifts, gym, classes, exams—and the plan can tighten, extend, or reshuffle as reality changes. The system learns from your behaviour over time to better match your goals and dates, not a generic template. We’re assembling a committed volunteer beta cohort to stress-test real study workflows and shape Offload before wider launch.

Role description

This is a remote, volunteer beta testing role for Offload. You will use early builds the way you would in a real term: planning, revising, flashcards/active recall, and adapting when your week changes. You will report bugs, UX friction, and missing expectations with clear notes (steps to reproduce, screenshots, and what you thought should happen). You will follow testing prompts when we ship focused experiments (flows, copy, scheduling behaviour).

Near the end of each testing cycle, you may be invited to a short video call with the founder to walk through your experience, clarify feedback, and help us prioritise fixes and improvements. We expect full commitment for the agreed testing window: responsive communication, honest feedback, and completion of assigned checks on time.

Early supporters may receive early-bird benefits published on our signup page (for example, limited beta perks such as priority access and pricing benefits where applicable). Separately, participants may be eligible for a referral and rewards programme where rewards depend on successful referrals/conversions; payouts are not guaranteed income and are subject to programme rules and eligibility.

Qualifications

* You are a student (any discipline) or someone with an active, realistic study workload equivalent to A-level to degree-level revision
* You can tolerate rough edges and occasional instability in early software.
* Strong written communication: you can describe issues clearly and reproducibly.
* Attention to detail and willingness to compare the product to your actual routine, not one-off clicking.
* Comfortable with remote collaboration (email/forms + optional short calls).
* Reliable and fully committed for the agreed testing period; you respond within the timeframe we set for each round.
* Familiarity with calendars, note tools, or flashcard/spaced repetition apps is a plus.
* Prior beta testing or UX feedback experience is a plus, not required.
* No specific degree required; computer science background is not necessary.
