Our client in Heysham is seeking a dedicated Operations Assistant to join their Repack Department on a temporary ongoing basis. If you have a keen eye for detail, prioritise safety, and possess basic IT skills, this is your chance to shine! What You'll Do: As an Operations Assistant, you'll be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the Repack Department. Your responsibilities will include: Safety First: Handle sealed chemicals of various hazard classes while strictly adhering to safety procedures. Chemical Handling: Safely manage open source chemicals after completing necessary training, utilising fume cupboards. Accuracy Matters: Meticulously complete and check job sheets to ensure all catalogue numbers, quantities, SKUs, lot numbers, and locations are correct. Transport & Label: Move finished goods to various stores using manual transport trolleys and label them accurately. Housekeeping & Stock Control: Maintain daily housekeeping tasks and manage stock control to keep everything organised. Digital Proficiency: Navigate emails, Microsoft Teams, and effectively utilise an ERP system. Requirements: To thrive in this role, you'll need: Experience working with sealed chemicals, with strict adherence to safety procedures. Willingness to wear company-provided PPE including lab coat, trousers, safety glasses, safety boots, and high visibility vest. Exceptional attention to detail for completing and checking job sheets accurately. Capability to locate finished goods in various warehouses/stores and record information on worksheets. Proficiency in labelling finished goods containing chemicals. Commitment to completing daily tasks, including housekeeping and stock control. Basic IT literacy: navigating emails, Microsoft Teams, and using an ERP system. Good verbal and written English skills.
