About the Role
To supervise the Advice on Prescription Programme, and to provide support to advisers and administrators to ensure quality standards are met. To assist the senior health programme team to ensure our service supports wellbeing and reduces health inequalities for the patients of Liverpool CCG.
Responsibilities
* Supervise the Advice on Prescription Programme and support advisers and administrators to ensure quality standards are met.
* Assist the senior health programme team to ensure services support wellbeing and reduce health inequalities for patients in Liverpool CCG.
Requirements
* Two years experience of advice giving, in an advice giving role/setting.
* A good knowledge of the social model of health and how services can support wellbeing and reduce health inequalities.
* Thorough understanding of health programme referral pathways.
* Ability to prioritise own work and the work of others, meet deadlines and manage workload in a busy environment.
* Ability to give and receive feedback objectively and sensitively and a willingness to challenge constructively.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to research, analyse and interpret complex information and produce and present clear reports verbally and in writing.
* Ability to interview clients using sensitive listening and questioning skills to understand issues and empower clients, whilst maintaining structure and control of meetings.
* Ability to use IT systems and packages, and electronic resources in the provision of services and the preparation of reports and submissions.
* A good, up-to-date understanding of equality and diversity and its application to the provision of advice, and the supervision and development of staff.
* Ability to commit to and work within the aims, principles and policies of the Citizens Advice service.
* A commitment to continuous professional development.
* Understanding of the issues affecting society and their implications for clients and service provision.
