Responsibilities
* Manage a defined caseload of patients with fracture concerns attending clinics at the Orthopaedic Outpatient Departments.
* Assess care needs, develop, implement, and evaluate clinic patient treatments, setting standards of care based on NICE/BOA guidelines.
* Interpret X‑rays and manage ongoing care of patients in alignment with best evidence‑based practice.
* If working as a non‑medical prescriber, initiate and prescribe treatment and evaluate its clinical effectiveness.
* Undertake audit activity and lead implementation of service development plans.
* Provide clinical leadership within the multidisciplinary team and train junior team members.
* Escalate clinical concerns to the appropriate Lead Orthopaedic Consultant.
* Work alongside Consultants in the orthopaedic clinic reviewing and treating fractures and associated wounds as an autonomous practitioner.
* Manage clinic patients at Scarborough Hospital and Bridlington Hospital, serving both adults and paediatric patients.
Qualifications
* Senior Registered Nurse or Allied Health Care Professional with experience in Trauma and Orthopaedics.
* Knowledge and experience working with adult and paediatric patient groups.
* Excellent motivation, proactivity and dedication to the role.
