Location: Bradford / Hybrid Working (Typically one day in the office per week Bradford but this is subject to change when required)
Work type: This is a temporary fixed term position for 12 x months. Working 37 hours per week, Monday Friday between a flexible working window of start times between 8:00am-10:00am and finish times between 16:00pm-18:00pm
We have an exciting opportunity for a Connections Technician to join our Developer Services Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

The Developer Services team works with a wide range of customer bases, from commercial developers to existing domestic customers to ensure any new developments have the correct water plans in place. You will be the first point of contact for individual customers and developers across clean services and see them efficiently through our processes, ensuring we provide an excellent customer service.
Where You Fit In
As our Connections Technician, you will:
Produce quotes/re-quotes for new water connections, for both domestic and commercial customers. This includes both single and multiple connection applications.
Produce plans that Customers/Developers can understand and follow without the need for further clarification
Interpret surveys & Network Engineer consultations in order to produce accurate quotes. This includes being able to challenge Surveyors where you feel the survey is incorrect and being able to amend the plans accordingly
Calculate Water and Wastewater Infrastructure charges for developments connecting to the network for the first time. Interrogate systems and interpret historic meter readings to calculate any credits due
Assist Accounts Receivable with complex finance queries, to ensure that we have an accurate record of monies due, received or to be refunded
Provide technical support for internal colleagues
Action call backs and email correspondence accurately and within a timely manner
Accurately update regulatory records (Water UK submission spreadsheets) in a timely manner
What Skills & Qualifications You Will Need
Excellent IT skills, previous experience of Microsoft Office
Strong customer service skills and previous experience of dealing with a range of customer queries
Previous experience in the Water Sector is desirable.
Basic knowledge of Maths and English as you will need to interpret customer feedback and also understand customer billing information
Creative, able to generate ideas and identify improvement opportunities
Flexible and resilient, able to adapt to continuous change
