Description ADR Class 1 Driver We’re looking for a versatile and safety-focused ADR Driver to join our specialist logistics team. You’ll be responsible for the secure transport of hazardous goods, including lithium-ion batteries and solar panels, across the UK. A typical day starts between 5–6 AM, with 1–2 deliveries to engineers in the morning, followed by a trunk run between our distribution centres. This role is ideal for professional drivers who take pride in safety, compliance, and customer service. Location: Harlow Salary: £46,352.19 per annum (DOE) overtime benefits Contract: Full-time, permanent Shifts: Monday–Friday Essential skills required: Valid UK Class 1 (CE) licence. ADR Licence (minimum: Class 9 – Miscellaneous Dangerous Substances, with Packages preferred). Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Previous experience with hazardous goods transport (batteries/solar panels desirable). Strong commitment to safety, compliance, and excellent customer service. Ability to work independently with a professional approach. Key Responsibilities Safely transport ADR-classified goods (e.g. lithium-ion batteries) to and from customer sites. Carry out vehicle checks, report defects, and ensure compliance with company and legal safety standards. Follow ADR, Driver Hours, Tachograph, and Health & Safety regulations at all times. Accurately complete delivery documentation (ePODs, manifests, waste transfer notes if required). Provide a professional, reliable service when representing the company to customers and site contacts.
