Product Manager – MV Switchgear
Join Eaton, a diversified power‑management company, as a Product Manager for our Medium Voltage Power Distribution division in Hengelo, the Netherlands.
As part of Eaton’s growth strategy, you will lead cross‑functional collaboration to shape product roadmaps, manage lifecycle performance, and deliver customer‑centric solutions that align with segment strategies. You will drive revenue and margin growth while ensuring operational excellence across global markets.
What you’ll do
* Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, working closely with the New Product Development team to articulate the business value and “why” behind each product or release.
* Align the product portfolio with target segments (Data Center, Utility, Industrial & C&I) and channel strategies, and facilitate marketing to create effective market communications.
* Identify and develop new opportunities, measure performance, and drive profitability according to plans and forecasts.
* Understand customer needs, competitive environment, and market trends; use feedback to guide product development and lifecycle management.
* Support partner engagement, including onboarding, training, and performance tracking of installation and commissioning partners.
* Collaborate with sourcing, logistics, and operations to ensure delivery readiness and serviceability of products.
* Promote the product portfolio – transformers, switchgear, power modules, and LV busway systems – as key components of scalable, energy‑efficient data‑centre infrastructure.
* Develop segment‑specific materials and success stories with the MARCOM team to increase awareness.
* Lead new product development initiatives and drive efficiency and cost‑out programmes.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business administration, or engineering.
* 5+ years’ experience in a B2B environment, with at least 3 years in Product Management or a similar role.
Skills
* Fluent English (written and spoken).
* Deep knowledge of MV switchgear applications (transformers, busbars, UPS) in distribution networks.
* Experience in Data Center, Utility, and Industrial markets.
* Familiarity with IEC/EU standards and ability to read electrical drawings.
* Sales‑engineering experience and value‑based selling on major projects.
* Strong project‑lifecycle understanding and stakeholder management.
* Effective communication and leadership across cross‑functional and intercultural teams.
* Strategic mindset with market and segment‑specific application know‑how.
* Curiosity and passion for MV/LV assemblies, modular trends, and digitalization.
* Project‑management and data‑driven marketing capabilities.
