Location: Across Scotland, based from Larkhall, occasionally from Paisley depot or other regional depots

Your Role
As a Hydrovac Operator, you'll be at the heart of the action, executing precision suction excavation while maintaining our commitment to safety, efficiency, and quality.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate hydrovac trucks using high-pressure water and vacuum systems, perform slot trenching, debris removal, utility exposure, and suction excavation, and gully cleaning/maintenance.
* Prepare and manage job sites, conduct pre-job hazard assessments, inspect for underground utilities, and set up safe working zones.
* Safeguard operations, adhere to all safety and environmental protocols, remain alert to ground conditions, and safeguard against line strikes and site hazards.
* Maintain equipment, perform pre- and post-shift checks, routine maintenance, and promptly report or arrange repairs.
* Documentation & communication, record daily logs, complete required paperwork accurately, and liaise clearly with supervisors, team members, and clients.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Valid HGV license (ideally Class 2 or C) with clean driving record
* Experience operating hydrovac or vacuum excavation equipment (or similar heavy vehicles)
* Strong understanding of safety procedures and compliance regulations
* Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
* Physically fit with resilience to work across varying weather and site conditions
* Basic mechanical aptitude for equipment maintenance
Additional (Preferred)
* CSCS Card for Construction sites
* Certifications in First Aid, Groundworks, or relevant safety training
* Experience with emergency response or willingness to be on-call
* Familiarity with GPS tracking systems and fleet safety programmes
