Overview
Salary: £28,997 - £43,748 (per annum). Contract Type: Permanent. Hours: 37 per week. Location: Ellesmere Port Campus.
We are looking for an inspirational Lecturer to join our Motor Vehicle department at our Ellesmere Port Campus.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and teach on a range of Motor Vehicle Service and Repair courses (PHEV, Electrical Vehicle, MOT Test, Air Conditioning – Desirable).
* Contribute to aspirational teaching, learning and assessment.
* Keep accurate records for learners’ progress in College.
Key Person Specification Requirements
* Level 3 or above (or equivalent) in a discipline related to Motor Vehicle Service and Repair.
* GCSE Grade C (4/5) in English and Maths.
* PGCE or commitment to work towards.
* Minimum 3 years industry experience; up-to-date occupational experience.
* Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment.
* Enhanced DBS check.
We welcome applications from Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs) and from current industry practitioners who do not have a teaching qualification. Applicants will be part of a Lecturer Development Programme with support and training based on experience and need. The programme includes inductions to College systems and processes, an assigned curriculum mentor, and regular 1-2-1 support from the Quality team. Industry experts without a teaching qualification will be supported through the Introduction to Teaching at Cheshire College South & West 12-week programme.
